This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release an inmate, post bond, schedule a visit, add commissary money, or pull an official booking record. Use the official office listed for the record or custody question.
Scott County Record Routing
Scott County uses separate offices for jail custody, law-enforcement routing, court files, state-prison records, and federal or immigration custody. Start with the office that controls the record type, then use an open-records request only when the public roster or public portal does not answer the request.

Use these routes for common Scott County inmate and record questions:
- For a person in the county jail, start with jail inmate records and the Scott County Detention Center phone line.
- For booking photos, use jail roster mugshots, then ask SCDC how to request the booking record if no photo is shown.
- For charges filed after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and the Circuit Court Clerk.
- For the local facility page, see Scott County Detention Center.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use Kentucky Online Offender Lookup through the Kentucky Department of Corrections.
- For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator; for immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
Open Records Requests
Scott County's open-records page is for county government departments only and lists stacyh@scottky.gov as the county request email. The county form asks for requester contact information, a description of the records sought, a commercial-purpose statement, a Kentucky residency basis, signature, date, and verification fields. Kentucky open-records requests are governed by statutes including KRS 61.871, KRS 61.872, KRS 61.878, and KRS 61.880.
For records held by courts, begin with the Scott County Circuit Court Clerk rather than the county government open-records form. For city police matters, Georgetown Police can be reached at 502-863-7826.
